LoudHER Concert
It had been a while since our last live show. Playing the same venues again and again wasn’t what we wanted – so in early summer 2025 we started playing with the idea of organizing our very own concert. The vision was clear: bring a few bands together, get a bigger stage (around 200 people capacity), and make it a night to remember.
The first band that came to mind was Qualz, a progressive rock/metal band from Graz we had already met at the Local Heroes band contest. We clicked with them immediately, and since they also have a female singer, the idea of turning it into a female-fronted night was born. But why stop at two bands?
In the search for more acts, Psych quickly came up. Everyone in the Graz metal scene knows them – their bagpipes, their energy, and their wild live shows. They were in! And since they brought along a female-fronted cover band, suddenly there were four names on the bill: Back to Paradise, Qualz, Psych, and Black Chameleon. The line-up was complete. The date was set: September 5th, 2025, Explosiv Graz – the big stage this time.
The Concert
On the day of the show, the rain poured down like the heavens had opened their floodgates. But that didn’t stop the metal fans – or the relatives dragged along for support – from showing up.
Back to Paradise kicked things off with some of the finest rock covers out there. They warmed up the crowd perfectly and set the tone for the night. Qualz followed with their complex mix of progressive rock and metal. With time signatures that could break your ankles if you tried to dance to them, these guys still knew exactly how to fire up the audience. If you ever get the chance to see them live, don’t miss it.
Then it was our turn – Black Chameleon. For the first time, we played with our in-ear monitoring system, and luckily, everything worked flawlessly. We were especially excited (and a bit nervous) to present a bunch of new songs live. Would people enjoy hearing them for the very first time?
We opened with Survival Denied (including a rainforest intro), which instantly felt like the perfect start. It was followed by Get Heavy and Galactic Purge. Both Survival Denied and Galactic Purge aren’t released yet, but some hardcore fans had already heard them live. The real surprise of the night came next: Liberty, a brand-new track that turned out to be a great way to push the energy even higher.
Time for a little breather – United brought a calmer moment into the set. But since one slow song is enough, we quickly shifted gears with Still a Freak and Call of the Void. To close things out, we went heavy again with Safe and Sound (which definitely has moshpit potential) and, of course, the grand finale: The Dreamdancer.
Everything came together perfectly – the sound, the lights, and most importantly, the fans. You celebrated every song with us, and that made the night unforgettable.
The evening ended with Psych, and what can we say? These guys know exactly what they’re doing. With their powerful show and trademark bagpipes, they blew the roof off the Explo.
