Live at Explosiv – June 17th, 2023
Fresh off our success at the Band Contest in Gleisdorf, we didn’t have much time to rest. Just a few weeks later, on June 17th, 2023, we took the stage at the Jugend- und Kulturzentrum Explosiv in Graz. For any up-and-coming band in Graz, the Explo is a must-play venue – almost a rite of passage.
The atmosphere within the band was fantastic. We were still riding the wave of energy from Gleisdorf, and above all, we were just excited to do what we love most: playing live music in front of people. This time, however, the “friends and family bonus” had run its course. Not as many familiar faces turned up, and the crowd was smaller than at our last shows. Still, we were determined to give the Explo stage everything we had.
Joining us that night was the band Mantra, and together we set the tone for a great evening. We decided to change things up a little with our look – instead of the usual dark and heavy style, we went all out with colorful Hawaiian shirts. Because who says you can’t bring a splash of color into a genre that’s usually painted in black?
For 45 minutes, we rocked the small Explo café stage, giving it everything we had. And despite the slow start, the room began to fill as our set went on. By the end of the night, there was a solid crowd, and the energy turned into something special.
It may not have been our biggest show, but it was definitely a successful one – proof that sometimes it’s not about the size of the audience, but the connection you create with the people who are there.
