Season Kickoff at Die Rote Note
On February 6th, we kicked off the new concert year the only way we know how: loud.
We returned to Explo under a different banner this time — “Die Rote Note.” Sharing the stage with five other bands, the lineup covered everything from death metal to alternative rock and even Austropop. A diverse mix of styles, but that contrast is what makes a live night interesting. Different genres, same stage, same volume.
We went on at 19:30 with a slightly modified set compared to the Loudher concert. We don’t believe in static performances. “Rainbow Rocket” celebrated its live premiere, and “Dreamdancer” broke tradition by not closing the set this time. Consider it proof that we’re not afraid to shake things up.
After some initial technical difficulties, we fired straight into “Survival Denied” at full throttle. Once the engine was running, there was no looking back. Despite hoping for a bigger crowd, the people who showed up brought great energy, and that made it a genuinely fun night for us. Sometimes it’s not about numbers — it’s about intensity.
We were also joined by two outstanding photographers who captured the night from every angle. You’ll find them linked below — make sure to check out their work. Thanks to them, there will also be fresh video content coming soon.
All in all, a solid start to the concert year. We’re warmed up, we’re hungry, and we’re ready for whatever stages come next.
