Sunny Days Festival – Hidden Between the Cornfields
Tucked away behind cornfields, just outside of Graz, every August the Sunny Days Festival comes to life – a three-day celebration organized by Wakmusic, giving smaller bands the chance to share their music and win new fans.
For us, August usually means vacation season, which makes rehearsing with all six of us a rare luxury. But by now, we’ve gathered enough stage experience to put on a strong show even without months of preparation (though, of course, it never hurts).
This year, we were lucky enough to land a prime slot with plenty of stage time. Right before us played Livin’ Vintage, by now familiar faces and incredible musicians, delivering their unique mix of jazz and funk. And then it was our turn – a sharp contrast in sound and style, but the audience loved it.
Everything clicked. The energy was right, the music flowed, and as always at festivals, there’s the added magic of connecting with new listeners – something you don’t get as easily at a regular two-band gig.
The Sunny Days Festival once again proved to be an amazing experience for Black Chameleon – a stage full of joy, discovery, and new connections.
